Prepping for a PRS Match
I'm one of the holdovers from a slower time. My reloading is pretty basic, tedious, but pretty accurate.
This combination of parts is going to become 6.5 Creedmoor ammo to be flung outta a 30" Brux barrel:
- Lapua SRP brass - new
- Sierra 142 Match Kings
- Hodgdon H4350
As you can see from the picture, I'm using an arbor die - Micron Precision - from Bullet Central.
There was a time I would roll a round across the table to see if the tip wiggled, kind of a poor man's concentricity test. That doesn't happen anymore. Micron Precision dies build perfectly concentric cartridges.
92 rounds to go and there'll be the obligatory(?) 250 rounds ready to smash the paint off the steel at the THS Steel Challenge, for those moments when my reticle doesn't wander off with a mind of its own . . .
